Zine

A BRIEF HISTORY

Zines-- short for fanzines-- have been associated with counter culture since the early 20th century. They often provide spaces for marginalized communities to voice their views, bringing local issues and personal stories to the forefront. Historically, zines highlight feminists, the queer community, punk culture, and sci-fi fans. Throughout the decades, one thing has remained consistent throughout zines... the art. Zines are commonly DIY, handmade, photocopied, and maybe even a little messy. Zines represent artistic expression and the rejection of societal conformity. 

Coalition Mammoth will be releasing our first Zine in October 2025, highlighting history, to do's, adventure, hope, and a little bit of spice. Think of it as your pocket sized news with personality.
